Dogs and cats are not supposed to have bad breath.  They have bad breath because they do not brush their teeth, and then develop dental disease as a consequence.  Brushing your pet's teeth is beneficial for both your pet and your pocketbook.  Advanced dental disease can be costly, not to mention painful to your pet.  If you are unable to brush your pet's teeth daily, consider having a thorough dental cleaning performed once a year to help maintain oral health.
