For those horse owners already enrolled in the Preventicare program, you must re-enroll each horse annually. There have been a few changes made to the program by Pfizer. There is now an annual fee per horse for enrollment as well as a change in the paste de-wormer that you will need.
Annual Enrollment Fee: Beginning April 15th 2009, each horse enrolled or re-enrolled in the Preventicare Program by its owner will be charged a nonrefundable, Annual Enrollment fee of $50 per horse.
The following forms of payment are accepted: VISA, MC, DISCOVER or AMX cards. Payment will only be accepted on line through the Preventicare website.
Services: The following five services must be provided by a veterinarian for each horse enrolled or re-enrolled in the Preventicare program:
- Annual physical examination
- Annual dental examination & any suggested care
- Appropriate immunizations
- Daily use of Strongid C/C2X (purchased from the administering veterinary clinic)
- Twice yearly use of Quest® or Quest® Plus (purchased from the administering veterinary clinic)
