The veterinarians and team members of Salem Valley Veterinary Clinic understand you want what is in the best interest of your pet. Sometimes the costs associated with these decisions can be difficult to understand. That is why we work to provide you with several options that will benefit your pet, allow for optimum quality of life, and enable you to feel comfortable with your choice.

We are frequently asked about he costs of an office visit. Charges vary based upon the type of visit. Please ask for specifics when you make your pet's appointment. We require payment in full at the time that services are rendered.

Payment
For your convenience, acceptable forms of payment include cash, check, debit card, and all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover).

Care Credit
We offer CareCredit to help our clients cope financially with unexpected medical situations. You can apply through our office or online at CareCredit. Approval can usually be obtained within 10 minutes on the phone or online. If you apply online, please print and bring a copy of your confirmation with you along with two forms of identification.

Pet Health Insurance
Another option to consider is the purchase of pet health insurance. Pet policies come with a variety of deductibles, co-payments, and premiums. The cost of coverage can vary depending upon your pet's breed, age, veterinary care costs, and the coverage options you choose, such as your deductible amount. Many can be customized to cover accidents, wellness, alternative therapies, dental, and much more. Insurance can make it possible to afford state-of-the-art care for serious conditions such as cancer, diabetes, or severe trauma that might not otherwise be financially possible.

We encourage you to explore your options before you purchase pet insurance for your pet. It is best to choose a policy early in your pet's life, while they are healthy. A list of companies along with features and pricing can be found by visiting petinsurancereview.com and consumersadvocate.org.
